2013 has been a year that has fallen in love with the past. For all of us who love weddings this has been a year filled with the romance of the 1920s (thanks to Downtown Abbey), the free spirits of the Bohemian era, the glamor of the 1950s and the resurgence of braids. Braids made their come back this year and we are happy to see them again. So happy that the side braid has become a staple in our day-to-day lives here at DonegeeMedia.

I’ve been so found of mid century modern aesthetic lately, I have decided to do my entire house in this aesthetic. This has nothing to do with that show “Mad Men” (I watched one episode and found it so boring. Why would I want to watch an entire series filled with misogyny, even if it is historically accurate?) I’ve been playing around with minimalism, which isn’t necessarily a mid century modern look, but they work in dialogue with one another.
However, I am not a minimalist. Alas, this is what I came up with.
